As Axis evolves, Pat continually focuses on the long-term success of the company. Twenty years ago, Pat achieved his dream to launch a state-of-the-art fabrication and machine company. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, his vision began in the model shop at Phillips Electronics as he developed his zeal for the industry. His success has come from a philosophy to hire the best people available and produce results that exceed the clients' expectations. With 30 years in the business, Pat's leadership keeps Axis in a steady growth pattern and focused on keeping pace with industry trends.
James Lewis
Operations Manager
As Operations Manager, James utilizes his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee to handle all the day-to-day operations at Axis. From machining to CAD drawings, James has had experience in all areas of the company. By learning from the ground up, he brings a dedication and knowledge of the company that its customers have benefited from for almost 20 years. Since all managers report to him, James helps to ensure each customer is handled with excellence from start to finish.
Brook Nash
Project Manager
After 15 years in the industry, Brook provides Axis with a thorough engineering knowledge from his background in food production items and x-ray imaging. His degree from Georgia Tech in Mechanical Engineering provides a foundation for his diverse responsibilities as a Project Manager. Brook can assist our clients from start to finish by providing product design/development all the way to ensuring the completed high-quality products reach their destinations.
Rob Carroll
Project Manager
When Rob came to Axis in 2005, he brought over 30 years of experience in management of the Industrial Metals Division of a major metal fabrication and installation contractor involved in industrial plants and architectural projects. With a BS and MBA from the University of Tennessee in Industrial Management, he provides our clients with expertise in their estimation/bidding/project management process. Rob serves a valuable role in purchasing certain materials as well as being a critical interface in the area of customer service.
Brian McCarter
Cad Manager
Brian's excellence in the area of CAD provides Axis with the tools to put our clients' ideas into reality. With 14 years experience ranging from plastic injection molding to metal fabrication, he understands how designs affect the quality of your products. Brian allows Axis to take a design that's "drawn on a napkin" or an actual model of the item and prepare it for production. Among Brian's other skills, he is in charge of programing our 4000-watt TRUMPF laser system in addition to keeping our facility computer systems operational.
Brad Moore
Machining Manager
As Machining Manager, Brad brings 15 years industry experience to Axis' machine shop. He is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of operations that change daily to meet our customers' demands. Brad's departmental leadership is demonstrated through his hands-on knowledge of all the machining operations at Axis. This allows our customers the benefit of working hand-in-hand with Brad during the quoting and purchasing process to save time and money.
Mike Pettit
Project Manager
With 18 years of management experience in the service industry, Mike provides Axis with distinct benefits in his role as Project Manager. With a BS in Operations Management and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Tennessee, he helps maintain the company's focus on meeting its clients' needs. In addition to servicing our customers during the estimation/bidding process, Mike assists Axis in targeting and acquiring new clients.
Gene Bowling
Sheet Metal Fabrication Manager
Gene provides Axis with over 16 years of experience in our sheet metal fabrication department. By looking at examples of parts they have produced, the high level of excellence is evident. Gene manages his team in the use of our TRUMPF laser cutting machine, water jet cutting, CNC press brake & punch machines to create complex prototypes or large production runs of standard parts. Also, he consults with our clients, if requested, to determine the most cost-efficient and durable way to produce their parts.
Mark Rogers
Welding Manager
Having 22 years of experience in the industry allows Mark to handle multiple responsibilities as Welding Manager at Axis. Although he oversees our daily processes involving welding, painting, screen-printing and surface preparation, he also benefits Axis in other crucial areas. Mark uses his background in facility construction and machine maintenance to keep our facilities in top working order. If needed, he can also provide expertise as a field consultant during a client's design/build phase at a job site.
Stephanie Moore
Office Manager
Stephanie efficiently handles all the functions required in managing an extremely busy office environment like Axis. She makes sure all day to day operations for the office staff go as smooth as possible. For over 6 years, she has been invaluable to our company as our employees count on Stephanie and her staff to make certain that nothing is overlooked in the world of 401k's, medical insurance and payroll.
